As Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive Experts, TX were invited to support a fantastic worldwide crew with VR camera kit and crew.
Filming over 3 nights in London’s Wembley Stadium, the project is one of the most ambitious VR captures ever achieved.
For complicated, technical camera systems productions turn to TX. This high-end drama used a wide range of camera technology to massively aid storytelling.
TX provided:
City-wide CCTV systems with live monitoring, remote control
Internal CCTV style systems on remote PTZ heads, chosen as operable practical cameras
Low-latency conference call setups: Multi-way ‘zoom’ calls, live operated between stages
Silverstone without the cars? Filming at Silverstone is always fantastic, but this shoot was very different. TX had the challenge of filming a race at Silverstone where most of the cars only existed in the virtual world.
We simultaneously supplied multiple crewed camera units around the track to merge real-world pictures with real-time generated overlays from Mo-sys tracking systems. Our long-range wireless links fed live imagery of the virtual race back to video village for the even bigger challenge faced by the post production team.
Working with the excellent Scott Lyons from Outsider, we once again shot impossible angles for this commercial. Using a customised high-end 360 degree camera system mounted on a technicrane, TX allowed post-production to choose shots after the event to follow the ball around Centre Court.
